What is MOMs?MOMs on the Mountain is a fundraiser for the Nevada City Schools Foundation, which benefits the students of our school district. It is a non-competitive day of scenic beauty, personal challenge and fun for women: mothers and non-moms alike. We’ve had 3 generations hiking and raising funds at the same event. Our hikers have ranged in age from 18 to 80+.
Schedule of EventsRegistration: 9:00-9:30am
Check in, grab your T-shirt and spend a little time mingling. Breakfast: 9:00-9:30am Treat yourself to a little nourishment! Yogurt, fresh fruit, granola, coffee, tea and juice will be served for a little pre-hike breakfast. Hike: Depart 9:30am Venture out on one of 3 marked trails that suit your hiking desires. There will be a 1, 3 and 6 mile option to choose from. Lunch: 12:00-2:00pm We will host a yummy taco bar full of all the goods to make a delicious post hike lunch. Massages: 12:00-2:30pm You can sign up on the day of the event for a little pampering after all that exercise. Don’t forget your tip money! Silent Auction 9:00am – 2:30pm We will have numerous items up for auction from some really great vendors! You won’t want to miss this part. No-Host Bar: 12:00-2:30pm Wine, beer, and festive drinks are available for purchase. Yoga and Games: 12:30-1:30pm This is a great way to relax and cool down after the hike, mixed in with a fun round of musical chairs and a scavenger hunt for drink tickets. Awards Ceremony: 2:00pm Prizes will be given for the following: Largest Team~Best Costume~Most Money Raised Event Ends Around 3:00pm Get Sponsored!

Why Should You Come?It's really fun and it's for the kids!
This year we are at it again and hope to make it the best year yet. The monies raised from MOMs directly affects all the students in the Nevada City School district and helps them have a more enriched education. For the next few years, NCSF will focus its funding goals primarily towards the implementation of STEM curriculum in the Nevada City Schools. 19320 Donner Pass Road
Norden, CA 95724 From I-80, take exit 174, Norden/Soda Springs. Traveling from the west, go straight at the stop. From the east, turn left over the bridge, then another left onto Highway 40 / Donner Pass Road, following signs to ski resorts, 3 miles. 
There will be three well-marked hiking options. The hike distance is optional; you can choose from 1, 3 or 6 mile loops. When you return to the lodge, we serve lunch, have a no-host bar and open a silent auction for bidding. This is a perfect way to meet new friends, reconnect with old friends, enjoy a mom's weekend away, renew your energy and raise money for the school district.
